A 'Survivor' Fan Favorite Just Got Engaged!

7 July 20252 Mins Read

There’s another Survivor wedding in the works! Survivor: David Vs. Goliath icon Kara Kay took to Instagram on Monday, July 7, 2025, to announce that she’s engaged.

“When your dream vacation turns into your dream come true,” she wrote alongside a carousel of photos and videos from the special day set beside a gorgeous waterfall in Kauai, Hawaii. “I couldn’t even muster up words in the moment, but the answer has always been yes.”

“You’re my person, my dream, and the reason behind so much of the happiness I feel on a daily basis,” she continued. “I can’t believe you exist and I get to choose you as my partner every single day. Cheers to the beginning, my love.”

Kay showed off a massive marquis-cut diamond set on a simple gold band in several of the photos, and said “I can’t stop staring at it!” in one video. Her fiancé, whose identity she seems to keep as private as possible, said, “I feel good! I thought it was pretty chill, I said everything I wanted to say.”

“She still hasn’t said yes yet,” he joked. “She’s thinking about it.”

Kay famously made it to the final 4 on the 37th season of the hit show, which aired in 2018, before getting beaten in a fire-making challenge by White Lotus creator Mike White, who ended up as the runner-up to winner Nick Wilson.

Though Kay famously had a “showmance” with fellow Goliath tribemate Dan Rengering throughout the season, it didn’t last after filming. Luckily, Kay found everything she needed with her new partner.

“He came in unannounced, took me by surprise, and made his intentions clear early on,” she wrote in a May 2025 post. “Every single day this man has proven his commitment; his actions align with his promises. Wait for the one who doesn’t hesitate to choose you – loudly, consistently, and without games. Endlessly thankful for you.”

These days, Kay is an accomplished real estate agent in San Diego.
