A terrifying, full-body haunted attraction is coming to this spooky B.C. festival

16 September 20263 Mins Read

If you’re ready to fully lean into spooky season, this is the event for you. The second annual Halloween Fright Festival is set to transform Maan Farms into a sensory nightmare in more ways than one, with four haunted attractions to choose from.

From Oct. 2 through Oct. 31, the cornfields will rumble with live theatrical performances and immersive experiences that will have your heart racing and your body covered in goosebumps.

A new full-body immersive ‘haunt’

The newest “haunt” to check out this year is called Badlands, featuring a no-contact, yet full-body immersive experience, where guests are trapped in conditions they cannot control. Unbearable heat, bitter cold, drenching rain, violent winds, and suffocating humidity will overwhelm guests as they fight one environment to the next, with nature itself becoming the enemy.

The festival also features the return of Canada’s Scariest Corn Maze (the no-contact Slaughterhouse) and an expanded Frightfully Fun Forest, which will have more lighting, sound effects, and larger-than-life photo ops.

“Halloween has always been about gathering, dressing up, getting scared, and making memories,” says Amir Maan, farmer and third-generation family member. “We designed the festival around that idea: one ticket, the whole experience, and iconic moments worth capturing and remembering.”

The last two “haunts” to check out this year are contact experiences, so only opt for these if you are okay with experiencing touch. The Way Down takes its darkest turn yet this year, with guests entering suffocating darkness, blinded by hoods.

3D CarnEvil is described as a “neon nightmare,” with guests wearing 3D glasses as they navigate the fluorescent scenery, bending walls, ultraviolet puppetry, and distorted characters.

Know before you go

You can explore the haunted attractions at Maan Farms between 7 and 9 p.m. from Oct. 2 through 31, Thursday to Sunday. The only exception is the last week of October, when the spooky festivities will run from Wednesday, Oct. 28 through Halloween night.

Ticket prices vary depending on the night you choose to go. And since they are not sold in person, it’s best to book your spot sooner rather than later.

GA tickets get you access to all the haunted attractions and range from $69 to $99 for GA, depending on when you visit.

Note that all visitors entering the Halloween Fright Festival must sign a liability waiver before entering, and some of these experiences may be too intense for children under the age of 14.

If there’s a possibility that your date or time of visiting might change, it’s a good idea to add ticket insurance, which allows for one reschedule. Otherwise, all ticket dates and times are final sale, according to Maan Farms.

When: Oct. 2 to 31, 2026
Time: Time slots between 7 and 9 p.m.
Where: 790 McKenzie Rd., Abbotsford
Cost: $69 to $99 for GA
