A three-day Taiwanese cultural festival is coming to Vancouver that’s free to attend

19 June 20252 Mins Read

July marks Taiwanese Heritage Month in Vancouver, and the free-to-enter Taiwanese Canadian Cultural Festival returns this year with an incredible lineup of live performances, outdoor art, dance, and Taiwanese cuisine across three days in July.

Performing groups from Taiwan, Canada, and beyond will showcase their music and dance performances at the main venue, including Lovedancing Group & 3 People Music, Orchid Ensemble, Sounds Global Ensemble, Taiwanese Canadian Ensemble, Mozaico Flamenco, and much more.

The festival will also feature an Art Gallery and an Interactive Painted Mural, allowing visitors to contribute at the following hours:

  • Friday, July 4, 2025: 5 to 9 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 5, 2025: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 6, 2025: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The festival will take place at šxʷƛ̓ənəq Xwtl’e7énḵ Square in front of the Vancouver Art Gallery.

Looking for even more ways to celebrate Taiwanese Heritage Month? The Vancouver Pops Orchestra and Choir will perform at the Vancouver Playhouse from 3 to 5 p.m. on July 26, 2025, and a series of community days and Taiwan Cinema screenings will take place throughout the month.

The festival is also coming to Surrey City Hall from Saturday, July 12 and Sunday, July 13, 2025, if you’re hoping for a round two of the festivities.

So mark your calendars and stay tuned for more festival info as it comes, including an official list of vendors.

When: Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6, 2025
Time: Varies per event
Where: 750 Hornby St.
Cost: Free admission
