A Toronto park is filling up with a fleet of food trucks for a huge festival this weekend, Canada Reviews

27 July 20262 Mins Read

Summertime in Toronto has very distinct flavours, from slow-smoked jerk barbecue to rich, caramel ice cream layered with black garlic miso! And this August long weekend, some of the city’s best tastes are coming together in one spot, served up by a fleet of Toronto’s finest kitchens on wheels. The annual Toronto Food Truck Festival is rolling back into Woodbine Park for four days of must-eats, free children’s games and eating challenges.

Best of all: admission is free!

Here’s a little taste of what’s waiting for you: Bank Bao will be serving up its signature stuffed buns, while Coal Pot Jerk will bring Jamaican flavours and Los Vietnamita Taqueria will offer a Vietnamese spin on tacos. Or grab some serious comfort food from Rebozos Taqueria, Shelby’s and Mustache Burger! For dessert, Cheat Day Desserts, Chill Delights Ice Cream and Super Churros are just a few of the spots to save room for. Vegetarian, vegan, halal and gluten-free options are also available throughout the festival lineup, so really, no one in your crew will leave hungry!

And there’s more than food. Kick back with a cold beer or two while listening to live music. Sister Boombox and From the Hip will get things started Friday, followed by Crooked Zebras and Smile on Saturday. Sunday brings Sugar and Red Astro Band, and the long weekend wraps up Monday with Till Paradise, Canadiana Band and Dramazoid! DJs SiDD SiKK and Cyrus will also be spinning throughout the weekend.

Oh, and feel free to bring your four-legged friend: well-behaved, leashed pets are more than welcome!

The Toronto Food Truck Festival returns to Woodbine Park, 1695 Queen St. E., on Fri. July 31 (5-10 p.m.), Aug 1-2 (12-10 p.m.) and Aug. 3 (12-8 p.m.).

Admission is free, so just bring your appetite!
