A western wear pop-up market is coming to Calgary just in time for the Stampede

11 June 20252 Mins Read

Yeehaw! The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is nearly here, but before you kick up some dust, you’ll need a comfortable pair of cowboy boots. Whether you’re looking for some fancy footwear, a hat to hang after a long day, or an oversized belt buckle to wear to the Stampede grounds, the Honky Tonk Market is a Calgary must-visit.

What to expect

Described as a “continually growing platform that celebrates the rich creativity and talent of Southern Albertan vendors and artists,” this market series is truly one of a kind.

Here, you can stroll and spend your money on incredible pieces created or curated by local makers and small businesses.

From jewellery to apparel, this summertime shopping experience will have plenty to see, learn, and try on, but there’s so much more.

In addition to clothing and art, the Honky Tonk Market will also have drinks, an electric atmosphere, and live music while you browse.

The best part? These markets are not one and done.

This summer, you can check out the many events that they’re hosting around the city.

From June 20 to 22, hit 17th Avenue for free, then Cowboys Casino on June 28 for an adults-only experience that costs just $5 per person.

If, however, you’ve left things until the last minute, feel free to head to the Core between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. from July 2 to 4 for a mini indoor pop-up.

Interested? Get there early, wear walkable shoes, and don’t skip a booth.

You never know what treasures you might find with your eyes wide.

Enjoy and good luck!
