Abu Dhabi Hotel Industry Achieves Record August Occupancy :: Hospitality Trends

  • Abu Dhabi hotels reported a record-high occupancy rate of 79.3% in August 2025.
  • The average daily rate and revenue per available room also reached their highest levels since 2008.

Abu Dhabi’s hotel industry recorded its highest occupancy rate for August, reaching 79.3%, according to preliminary data from CoStar. The average daily rate (ADR) increased by 10.6% to AED482.32, while revenue per available room (RevPAR) rose by 15.4% to AED382.25. These figures represent the highest August ADR and RevPAR since 2008.

The highest daily occupancy was 90.7% on 11 August, coinciding with a concert by Limp Bizkit at Etihad Arena. On the concert night, the highest RevPAR for the month was recorded at AED451.77. The peak ADR of AED505.51 occurred on 22 August.

Additionally, the annual Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) began on 30 August, influencing hotel metrics. The first night of the exhibition saw occupancy at 72.8%, with ADR and RevPAR reaching AED457.68 and AED333.28, respectively.

Throughout August, daily occupancy levels in Abu Dhabi remained above 70% on all but two days.
