Adelaide’s hotel sector recorded its highest August revenue per available room on record, with entertainment and business events contributing to demand across the city’s accommodation market.
Preliminary CoStar data showed Adelaide hotels achieved RevPAR of AUD139.13 in August 2026, up 7.3% from the same month last year. Average daily rate increased 5.4% to AUD192.16, while occupancy rose 1.8% to 72.4%, the city’s highest August occupancy level since 2019.
On Saturday, Aug. 22, London Calling (UK) performed at The Gov as part of its “Clash Tribute” tour. That day, occupancy reached 86.8%, while average daily rate was AUD217.70 and RevPAR was AUD189.03.
The Day Hospitals Australia National Conference, held Aug. 25-27, pushed occupancy to 84.3% on its second night. On the conference’s opening night, average daily rate reached AUD216.19 and RevPAR was AUD181.75.
