People travelling out of Vancouver International Airport are getting some new flight route options, thanks to Air Canada’s recent announcement.
The airline is rolling out a new transborder schedule for the 2025 summer, from YVR, making it easier to get to some popular destinations. With three new routes coming and increased capacity on other flights, summer 2025 is looking a little smoother for travellers.
Air Canada made the announcement on Monday, outlining three new transborder routes to Nashville, Tampa, and Raleigh. The airline is also offering more capacity for flights to Denver, Miami, and Austin.
“Together with its partner United Airlines, Air Canada will offer up to 7,700 seats on 58 daily non-stop flights to 21 US destinations next summer, representing an 11% increase in seat capacity from summer 2024. All flights are now available for sale at aircanada.com, through Air Canada Contact Centres and via travel agents,” the press release said.
Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President, Revenue and Network Planning, and President, Cargo at Air Canada, also said that “more network news will be coming soon.”
These Air Canada transborder flights are also timed out for easier connections for international flights, aiming to make travel more efficient.
The new flight route from Vancouver to Raleigh will operate on Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting on June 4 and running until September 29, 2025.
The new flight route from Vancouver to Tampa will be year-round starting on June 3, 2025, and operating on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The new flight route from Vancouver to Nashville will start on May 1 and run until October 20, 2025, operating on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday.
