Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson recently unveiled an “exciting” life update for her fans, but the cryptic explanation stirred up quite the commotion on social media.
In early March, the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo reality star, 19, took to TikTok with a video teasing major personal news.

“Lots of things in the works trust the process 🫶🏻…” she captioned the clip, adding in text on the video, “Exciting things coming📷✨…”
For the video, Thompson gazed off-camera while looking nervous. A popular TikTok sound then said, “Girl, you have no idea how amazing life is about to get for you. Stay focused and trust the process,” prompting her to nod her head, seemingly reassured.

In the comments, many suspected Thompson’s news had something to do with her college education. She graduated from high school in May 2023 before reportedly enrolling at Regis University in Denver, Colo., to study nursing.
One TikTok user wrote, “From pageant queen to a nurse degree! Honey boo boo to nurse Alana !!! 👏🏼🎓 your breaking generation curs3s!!! Keep it up! Been watching from the start of it all! Proud of you.”
Another echoed, “can’t wait to see alana thompson BSN, RN🩺🩷.”
Someone else declared, “PEOPLE ARE GONNA BE SAYING THEIR NURSE IS HONEY BOO BOO 😝😝.”
However, others focused on recent drama surrounding Thompson’s sister, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird. Efird filed for divorce from her husband of six years, Josh, in August 2024 and has since been spotted with a new man.
One warned, “Just stay away from pumpkin she was doing so great and now look at pumpkin. Just keep your head up. We’ll make something great out of yourself.”
A different TikTok user shared, “Everyone bashing pumpkin like that isn’t her SISTER. You can support her and leave her family out of it.”
Meanwhile, someone else pointed out, “Yall bashing pumpkin when she took care of Alana her whole life.”
Whatever “exciting things” may be coming for Thompson, hopefully, fans can focus on celebrating her achievements—rather than bashing her sister—when the announcement finally comes.
The latest show featuring Thompson’s family, Mama June: Family Crisis, aired its Season 6 finale in July 2024; We TV has not yet confirmed if they will be moving forward with Season 7.
