Quilted bags and purses have been having a moment for the last couple of years. They offer up fun texture and an eye-catching style, and who doesn’t want that when choosing a bag? Of course, purses are accessories that can be more on the expensive side, especially if you go for luxury brands. Luckily, Aldi continually puts out styles that look high-end, but are very affordable. And this coming week they have a quilted crossbody purse that looks a lot like a Bottega Veneta style that costs 350 times the price.

From May 28 to June 3, Aldi will be selling their Live in Style Quilted Woven Crossbody Bag for just $9.99 in the Aldi Finds aisles of local stores. The purse is a horizontal rectangular shape with a flap that opens up to the inside. The flap covers the full front of the bag and has a woven design that gives it that quilted texture. It also has one strap that connects on each side and two magnets as its closure.

Aldi hasn’t shared what it’s made out of or the dimensions, but being that it is horizontal, it is wider than it is tall. They also have a picture of the purse opened up, which shows that there isn’t too much depth inside, but it’s wide enough to hold sunglasses and a phone. The picture of the open bag also shows that it has a zippered inside pocket and an open pocket on the inside too.

Again, it’s hard to tell the material this is made out of—it could be more nylon like the Free People dupes or some kind of faux leather—but what we do know is that it comes in three colors. There’s the black option, which is all solid. Then there’s a pink style, which is kind of a light mauve/baby pink. And lastly, there’s the ivory white style, which is a standard white hue.

Small Rumple Leather Crossbody Bag, $3,500 at Bottega Veneta and Saks Fifth Avenue

This purse is cute in its own right, while also looking a lot like a designer style: the Small Rumple Leather Crossbody Bag by Bottega Veneta. This luxury bag costs $3,500 at Bottega Veneta and Saks Fifth Avenue and is only available in a few colors it seems (black and straw between those two sites). The main similarity is the flap design and the woven quilted texture on the front flap. It’s also a smaller, rectangular shape and has a magnetic closure. It also has a single zippered interior pocket, like Aldi’s.

Of course, this one is made with real foulard Intreccio leather, which makes it look more expensive, but since it does cost $3,500, that should be expected.

With that said, if you love the design of this purse and want to spend less than $10 on it, Aldi’s Live in Style Quilted Woven Crossbody Bag is worth checking out.
