Aldi's Cozy $8 Slippers Are a Dead Ringer For This Ugg Style 12x the Price

6 August 20253 Mins Read

I could be having the absolute worst day, but throw me something cozy and suddenly everything feels a little bit lighter. My mood shifts almost instantly. It could be a super soft blanket or the perfect fuzzy pillow for chillaxing. Right now Aldi is dropping a pair of $8 slippers that totally fit into the mood-lifting, cozy category.

Their Serra Ladies Open Toe Slippers are only $7.99, and made out of material that looks like your favorite teddy bear (only not, because that would be weird). They’re also a total dupe for a popular pair of sold-out Ugg slippers, but I’ll get into that more in a second.

These slippers also come in black, if that hue is more your speed, and feature a treaded sole so you can wear them outside if you’d like. The band and footbed are made of a teddy fleece-like material that really drives home the cozy factor.

If you’re checking out these slippers and thinking, “Haven’t I seen these before?,” that’s because twinning hard with a pair of sold-out Ugg slippers.

Check out the similarities between the Aldi slippers and the Ugg version.

Ugg’s Cozetta Curly Women’s Slippers in Chestnut look ridiculously similar to Aldi’s Serra slippers, except the Aldi version doesn’t have the Ugg logo, of course. But the color, texture and treaded sole are alive and well in both options.

But here’s the thing—even if you wanted to spend 12 times more on a nearly identical shoe, you can’t. Or at the very least it will be hard to, because these Ugg slippers seem to be sold out everywhere. I have found select sizes available at Nordstrom Rack on occasion, but it’s really hit-or-miss.

Does Aldi sell shoes often?

It isn’t uncommon for there to be some kind of footwear in an Aldi Finds drop each week. One week it may be toddler sneakers, while another it might be casual slides. On other occasions they’ve even sold shoes that can be considered “dressier.” That’s sort of the beauty of Aldi’s nicknamed “Aisle of Shame”—it’s full of surprises, some more exciting than others, but surprises none the less.
