All fish in Mina the Hollower

Fishing in Mina the Hollower takes you on a less-than-leisurely tour across Tenebrous Isle to collect trophies in each region. It’s not an easy task, as fishing comes with some special challenges. However, it’s a challenge you’ll have to tackle if you want all the game’s achievements.

Below, we list all the fish in Mina the Hollower and where to find them, along with how to get started fishing.

How to unlock fishing in Mina the Hollower

You’ll unlock fishing in the Backwaters area, southwest of Ossex and on the road to Nox’s Bayou. Go down one screen from where you find Buffo the jug frog, and you’ll see a sign advertising the fishing hole. You can burrow-jump under the water to the other side if you have the Steady Soles trinket equipped. If not, you’ll have to make your way around using moving platforms across the water, then spend one kear to unlock the path.

Chat with the fisherfolk at the hole to trigger an unfortunate incident. It’s scripted, so you can’t alter the situation. Once it’s done, you’ll get the fishing rod, which you can use in shallow or deep water.

How to fish in Mina the Hollower

The fishing rod is a sidearm, and using it costs two joules. Press the sidearm button to cast, press it again to drop the lure, and press it again to reel in. While the lure is in the water, you can move it around to try and touch a fish shadow. Mina reels in automatically after the lure touches a shadow, and she’ll also reel in automatically after a few seconds with no bites.

The shadow isn’t guaranteed to be a fish. You might get:

• Roses to replenish health
• Tulips to replenish plasma
• A plasma vial
• A bomb

Or, of course, a fish.

After you catch something, make sure to pull it toward yourself or else it’ll fall into place. If you’re over deep water, it’ll just fall back in, and you won’t be able to grab it. However, be careful as, depending on what you catch, it might damage you if it touches you.

Once your fish is out of the water, you’ll have to attack it like you would any enemy. You’ll obtain its trophy after “defeating” it.

Each region has at least one unique fish, and you can catch that fish in any body of water found in that region. After you catch all 16 fish, chat with Durwin at the fishing hole again to receive the Gilded Rod sidearm, which will allow you to toss your lure farther. Additionally, you’ll receive the “Fishin’ Reactor” feat and achievement.
