Nostalgia Country is an Ancient Ruin in Donkey Kong Bananza that takes you back to the world of Donkey Kong Country.
This Ancient Ruin switches your perspective from a 3D world to a sidescrolling platformer, but as it’s still Donkey Kong Bananza, there are three Banandium Gems for you to collect. One of the Banandium Gems is particularly difficult to find, but luckily it can be found as soon as you walk in.
Here’s where to find all of the Banandium Gems in the Nostalgia Country Ancient Ruin in Donkey Kong Bananza as well as where the Ancient Ruin is located.

The Nostalgia Country Ancient Ruin will be found naturally as you progress through the story in the Hilltop Layer. After you pay to clear the debris, the hole will open up and you’ll find the Ancient Ruin at the bottom.
Nostalgia Country Banandium Gem locations in Donkey Kong Bananza
There are three Banandium Gems in the Nostalgia Country Ancient Ruin. Two of the golden bananas will be found as you progress through the level with one about halfway through the level and the other at the end. However, before you venture off, the most difficult Banandium Gem is actually at the very beginning of the challenge.
After you enter the Nostalgia Country Ancient Ruin, take note of the wall above of the entrance. The wall is unreachable with regular jumps, but you can reach it if you perform a chunk jump. Grab some of the dirt beneath you with the ZR button and do a chunk jump by jumping while you’re in the air.
If you’re having a hard time reaching the wall, we recommend taking a running start or grabbing the circular rock dropped by the enemy on the path ahead.
After you’ve made it to the top of the wall, you’ll find the house from Donkey Kong Country along with the hidden Banandium Gem inside. Jump onto the tire in the middle of the room and press the X button to punch upwards when your right below the banana to break it.
As for the other two Banandium Gems, you literally cannot miss them in order to complete the challenge. The second banana is located right after the first barrel section while the third banana is after the second barrel section.
