The soda machine is one of the many cooking stations in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, allowing you to brew some fizzy drinks for your friends around the island.
The machine also lets you craft gifts that are three-stars for two residents: the Pumpkin Spice Soda for Kuromi and the Pochacco Energy Pop for Pochacco. To use the soda machine, you’ll need to collect fizzy ore to make fizzy crystals from the minecraft minigame in the Crystal Caves. (The quest that unlocks the soda machine will explain all this, so don’t worry too much about it.)
Below, we explain how to unlock the soda machine, how to upgrade the soda machine, and all the soda recipes available in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
How to unlock the soda machine
Unlike some of the other cooking stations that are open as soon as you can access the area, the soda machine requires some questing. You’ll need to complete the quest “Parched” which only unlocks after doing the you complete the following:
Once you’ve done this, you can access the soda machine in Gemstone Town:
After hitting friendship level 12 with Pekkle, you’ll unlock the crafting plan for a usable soda machine, so you can build one and place it in any of the visitor cabins.
How to upgrade the soda machine
To upgrade the soda machine, you’ll need to hit friendship level six with Pekkle. This will let you add a second ingredient to your mixes, allowing you to make more drinks.
You can give Pekkle the calming crystals found in the northern cave as a simple gift early on. Once you find the Stacked Stones recipe, you can craft that using three crystals and give that to Pekkle instead, which is a two-heart gift for him.
You can also expedite this process by using items like Friendship Bouquets and Friendship Blossoms to gift Pekkle more without having to wait until the next day (or time travel).
Below, we list all of the permanent soda recipes in Hello Kitty Island Adventure.
Note that there is a limited-time recipe, the “50th Anniversary Soda” — but it’s not counted as part of the collections page and you can’t make it consistently, as it uses a limited-time material, so we don’t have it on our list.
There are also multiple recipes for the same drink, but they are registered individually in your collections. For example, using cinna blooms or magma blooms will both give you Fiery Soda, but it will register as “Fiery Soda Recipe (Cinna Blooms)” and “Fiery Soda Recipe (Magma Blooms)” in your collections, so you may want to make all of these to collect all the recipes fully.
