Amazon is giving away the game you need to play before Fallout returns

3 October 20252 Mins Read

If you’re a member of Amazon Prime and are looking forward to the upcoming second season of Fallout, then a prime opportunity has just fallen on your lap: Amazon’s giving away a fresh lineup of games for free, including Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition.

While not strictly essential to understanding the goings-on of Amazon’s upcoming post-apocalyptic series, gamers may also want to snag the other Fallout game included in Prime Gaming’s October update: the just-as-good and equally chaotic Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition. Better yet, Amazon Prime members get to keep their downloadable games forever with Prime Gaming, so you can jump in and play whenever.

The newest Fallout season, starring Ella Purnell as Lucy MacLean and Walton Goggins as the enigmatic bounty hunter known solely as The Ghoul, arrives on our silver screens on Dec. 17 on Prime Video, with season 3 confirmed to come after. That leaves plenty of time to jump into Fallout: New Vegas.

Fallout: New Vegas will allow you to step into all the iconic locations and meet the eclectic characters that have been unveiled in Fallout season 2’s trailers and first-look images. One of the first images shown of the newest season shows Walton Goggins’ character, pre-Wasteland, arriving at the Lucky 38 Casino and Resort. Not only is this a real location you can visit in Fallout: New Vegas — you can even barter and gamble, if you’re feeling lucky — but it’s also the headquarters of one of the most vital characters in the game: Mr. House.

Mr. House was seen briefly in the first season, but he also plays a significant role in the video game too as the owner of the New Vegas strip. Considering that Lucy, Maximus, and the Ghoul are heading to New Vegas next season, it’s all but guaranteed that Mr. House will play a part.

If you’re intrigued and want to know more before the second season rolls around, now is never a better time to jump into Fallout: New Vegas, and with it being the Ultimate Edition, you won’t have to be concerned about missing out on DLC and add-ons, as they’re all included.
