'American Idol' Alum's Fans 'Didn't Recognize' Her in Exciting New Video

24 May 20252 Mins Read

Fans of former American Idol contestant Catie Turner said they didn’t even recognize her in her latest social media video.

Turner made it to the top seven of the 16th season back in 2018, when she was just 18 years old. Now 25, she took to TikTok recently to tease her latest single, “I Might,” out on June 6, where she appeared without her glasses and with a notably slimmer figure—something that previously sparked concern among fans.

“Do that trick again, you know the one I like / I think you’re doing it right,” she lip-synced along to some of the lyrics, adding, “the moment u realize ur supposed to actually feel something,” in text over the video.

“it’s a humbling experience for sure,” she captioned the post.

Fans were certainly thrilled with the news of new music to come, with one demanding, “DROP IT NOW ON SPOTIFY.”

“i’m sat,” someone else promised, while another insisted, “I am ready for this song now! Love! <3."

“too relatable,” another commenter was already convinced. “i need this song.”

“This is too good,” one fan praised, while another hyped up, “Slay!”

“GIRL I DIDNT RECOGNIZE YOU,” somebody else wrote emphatically, while another suggested that she was looking “so much happier.”

“Omg I’m here for the glowwwww,” they added.
