An entire festival dedicated to milk and cookies is happening just outside Toronto, Canada Reviews

17 July 20262 Mins Read

We may be in the middle of summer, but that’s no reason not to start planning your fall road trips. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, October could be the perfect time to head to rural Hamilton, where an entire festival devoted to milk and cookies is returning!

Summit Station Dairy & Creamery will host its third annual Milk & Cookies Festival on Saturday, Oct 3. The family-run dairy farm recently put out a call for bakers, noting that it’s making room for even more cookie vendors this year and accepting entries for its Signature Cookie Contest!

Admission to the festival will be free, and presales for festival passports will open in September.

The full 2026 program hasn’t been revealed yet, but last year’s festival gives a taste of what cookie lovers can likely look out for. Hamilton-area bakers will each create a signature cookie for the occasion. Visitors could purchase a passport that includes a pint of Summit Station milk and samples of each cookie, then collect stamps and vote for their fave cookie creation! The festival will also likely feature fall-themed cookie-decorating classes, as well as music, face painting and free access to the farm’s main barn where visitors could meet the cows.

And Summit Station does a lot more than serve up cookies. The farm produces its own dairy products and operates an on-site store that sells milk in glass bottles (mango milk, anyone?), cheese curds, yogurt and butter.

Summit Station Dairy & Creamery’s third annual Milk & Cookies Festival takes place on Saturday, Oct 3, with free general admission. Passport presales open in September, but make sure to follow @summitstationdairy for updates.

The farm is located at 1399 Powerline Road W in rural Hamilton, about a 70- to 90-minute drive from downtown Toronto, making it perfect for a road trip. After indulging in some milk and cookies, you can also visit this dreamy real-life castle in nearby Burlington Heights. It’s just a short drive from the farm and even has a secret garden and royal connections!
