An RMS Integration Without the Headache

30 July 20265 Mins Read

In Brief: Rikki Cavanagh examines how hotels can streamline the integration of revenue management systems (RMS) with existing property technologies, highlighting operational efficiencies and reduced complexity for property owners and operators.

About nine years ago I was sitting in an Information Technology class learning about how an astronomical number of IT implementations fail. Why is that? Oftentimes this is due to a lack of buy-in from the humans who work at the company. (I hope they don’t mean not logging my calls in the CRM.) Sometimes it’s due to lack of proper planning for how success will be measured. Maybe ROI numbers were unrealistic or the timeline to see them was the issue. In a lot of cases, an implementation is deemed a failure simply because it takes longer than planned to onboard. Throughout my career I’ve witnessed implementation of more than one IT system and some have gone better than others. Some have been the reason I’ve moved on to different companies. It’s because of these experiences that the team at Rate Yield puts so much importance on the implementation of the system and making it as seamless, efficient and pleasant as possible. So what can your IT team expect from implementing Rate Yield?

  1. API connection with your PMS, handled by our team. We will work with PMS support to work out any kinks in the data flow and ensure this is done with as little effort on your part.

  2. Training on the system and strategy overview with our Customer Success team who have experience in revenue management and with RMS implementation from the hotel side. You will be supported until you feel comfortable launching Rate Yield and trusting that the decisions the algorithm makes are ones you feel comfortable with.

  3. Fewer integrations necessary as rate shops are included with Rate Yield, rather than using an additional vendor for market pricing.

  4. Immediate ROI. Our system does not rely on a machine learning algorithm that takes 9 months to learn the trends. Our algorithm is built with you to reflect your priorities and ensure you are constantly competitive in the current market dynamics. That means that you will see the return on your investment as soon as you go live.

If you are feeling frustrated with IT implementations at your hotel, if you are exhausted by all this talk of AI and updating tech stacks and PMS vs OS and integrations and all the million ways you can make your hotel be more efficient. We hear you. We understand you, and we have been in your shoes. But don’t take our word for it. Here are some of the answers customers have left us on HotelTechReport to the question: What do you like most?

“Efficiency, customer service: Throughout our migration from Hotello to Cloudbeds, RateYield truly went above and beyond. The team was able to adapt their tool, methods, and even processes to meet our sometimes unusual requests and very specific needs. Their flexibility and commitment made this transition much simpler than expected. I cannot thank them enough for their outstanding support.”

“I’m at the beginning of this collaboration. So far, the software meets my expectations, but above all, the service is impeccable. I always get answers to my questions, and very quickly.”

“We have found this to be a very useful tool. It did not take very long to get used to using it daily. When we do get stuck on something, Adeline is always there immediately to help us through it!”

“It’s reliable, well-designed, and above all, it saves us considerable time every day. – Our suggestions for improvement are listened to, and there are regular updates that make a real difference. – Adeline is incredible. Always available, super clear in her explanations, proactive, and truly dedicated to her clients, she’s the kind of person who makes all the difference in the experience.”

If you are curious about an RMS but hesitant to take on another IT implementation, consider Rate Yield for a human approach to an AI solution.
