Resident Evil fans have a lot to be excited for with Resident Evil Survival Unit, a new mobile strategy game announced by Anniplex Inc. during AnimeExpo 2025. The game is being co-developed by the JOYCITY corporation. Resident Evil Survival Unit is going to be released globally on mobile platforms, iOS, and Android. More information will be revealed during an online showcase on July 10, 2025.
Aniplex Inc. and JOYCITY Corporation are designing Resident Evil Survival Unit to bring an experience that new and old players can enjoy by adapting the elements of the franchise and adding their own spin to it as a real-time strategy mobile game. To make it an authentic Resident Evil title, the game is being developed in collaboration with Capcom. One thing we can be sure of is that JOYCITY has experience working with famous IPs. The company worked on a long list of mobile games, one of them being Pirates of the Caribbean: Tides of War.
Resident Evil Survivor Unit is another item for fans to add to their list alongside Resident Evil Requiem, the mainline title announced at Summer Game Fest this year. We still need to know whether Survivor Unit is going to be a stand-alone title or if it’s tied to whatever is going to happen with Grace Ashcroft, the protagonist of Resident Evil Requiem.
