Anna Wintour is the latest high-profile guest to visit Evita on London’s West End, and she made sure to meet the star of the show, Rachel Zegler.
The previous editor-in-chief of Vogue and Sex and the City actress Cynthia Nixon attended a recent performance of Evita, where Zegler is currently taking on the iconic role of Eva Perón in Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita at the London Palladium. Following the show, Wintour headed backstage to greet the cast, including a glowing Zegler in costume.
On Thursday, the official Evita Instagram account shared three black-and-white photos: one of Wintour greeting Zegler backstage, and the other two photos showing the 24-year-old actress chatting with Nixon and Wintour.
“This season’s most stylish affair,” the caption said. “Thank you for joining us Anna Wintour and @cynthiaenixon.”

Wintour is one of the many celebrities that has gone to see Zegler shine in Evita. Others include Pedro Pascal, accompanied by American Horror Story co-star Sarah Paulson, who attended opening night and personally cheered for Zegler. Keanu Reeves, Ben Whishaw and Elaine Paige were also present at opening night.
Evita is a through-sung musical that follows Eva, an illegitimate young girl from Los Toldos, who becomes an actress and eventually the First Lady of Argentina before her tragic death from cancer at 33 years old.
Zegler’s run in the London Palladium ends on September 6.
