Is Ariana Grande going on an Eternal Sunshine tour?
Indeed she is! Grande will hit the road in summer 2026 for Eternal Sunshine—more than two years after its March 8, 2024, release.
Grande initially didn’t even plan on releasing music until she was done with her duties for Wicked and it’s sequel, Wicked: For Good, but she found herself with some time on her hands thanks to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
“Things are kind of just pouring out and happening very quickly,” Grande told her Republic Records team in a video she posted announcing the album. She added, “It’s kind of a concept album ’cause it’s all different heightened pieces of the same story, of the same experience … Some of [the songs] are really vulnerable, some of them are like playing the part of what people kind of expect me to be sometimes and having fun with it.”
The album was her first release since her divorce from Dalton Gomez, from whom she separated in 2023—and her first since beginning her relationship with Wicked co-starEthan Slater, who split from his wifeLilly Jay in July 2023. Grande admitted in an interview with Zach Sang that some of the material from the album was for a fictionalized “concept album,” but that some was mined from her own life and the tabloid attention surrounding her love life.
“The loss and grief that you hear some of the album, some of the heartbreak stuff, there was so much love and transparency,” she said. “That was something I really wanted to make sure was captured—[that it] wasn’t like a ‘f**k you’ [to Gomez] at all and ever. Even track No. 2 [“bye”], I tried to make sure it was kind and giving credit for trying and for the goodness that there was. So, that was a tricky balance for me because I definitely had some sessions where I was writing more emotionally and reactively but that’s also very human so I didn’t want to erase all of it.”

Is Ariana Grande ever going to tour again?
Yes, she will. Grande is hitting the road on her Eternal Sunshine Tour beginning June 6, 2026, through Aug. 23, 2026.
Grande had to put her touring schedule on hold for several years while filming and promoting Wicked and Wicked: For Good, leading her beloved fans (nicknamed Arianators) to wonder if they’d ever be able to see her live again.
She explained to Variety in late 2024, “I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it coming anytime soon. I think the next few years, hopefully we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now … I am appreciative for [my fans’] understanding. I’m so grateful for the ways in which we’ve grown together over this whole journey with Wicked. But music will always be a part of my life.”
In a July 2025 Instagram post, Grande tried to gently quell rumors that she’d quit music entirely for movies.
“Very silly of you all to assume that just because i have my hands full with many things that i plan to abandon singing & music,” she wrote. “It is and has always been my lifeline. There will need to be room made for all of it. It may not look exactly like it did before but I much prefer how it looks in my head. I am having fun. I feel grateful and excited and inspired. Finding a balance between many projects and endeavors I love and doing it my own way … So I’m working on a plan to sing for you all next year. Even if it’s just for a little. I love you.”
