SOME KIND OF SIGN – Casting – Dance Call
Incendiary Festival is seeking movers/dancers for a new, site-specific devised show entitled SOME KIND OF SIGN, directed by Rebecca Orion.
This show will be performed indoors.
Show Description: After a deadly long shift, a man finds himself alone in the local pub. Or so he thinks. When a cosmic mission is bestowed upon him, he has to decide if the grandeur before him is a delusion, or something worth putting everything on the line for.

To Prepare:
Please come in attire you can move in, water, and anything else you need to have a group dance audition! You do not need to prepare anything. Just come stretched and ready to move!
Audition Date & Location: The Erratics Indie Arts Club 625 11 Ave SW
2 group time slots: March 22 10:30-11:30am & 11:30-12:30pm
Schedule: You will not be called to every rehearsal. We always strive to work around the performer’s schedules. If the current schedule doesn’t work for your life, just let us know and we will see about changes that can be made.
Rehearsals: rehearsals will be built around the cast’s availability. We strive to make sure our theatre can work around your other projects and any work you have.
Tech Week Tech day in the space will be May 13 6-9pm
Performances: Will be in a space at the Renfrew community Centre. Dates are May 17th and 18th, multiple performances on those days.
Notes on Casting: We want to see auditions from EVERYONE who identifies as a dancer or mover. We are especially keen on seeing plus-size, BIPOC, and mature performers.
Notes on Compensation: Our shows are profit shares as we are not a full company, simply a small group producing with what we have.. If there is no profit, unfortunately, we can not guarantee payment. If this is a deterrent to your participation, we understand.
Notes on Casting in General: We encourage you to submit for roles no matter what your gender, age, race, or body size. We strive to work with disabled actors whenever possible.
