By Arlene Hutton

October 8 – 18, 2025
Director: Barbara Mah
Stage Manager: Samantha McCabe
Audition Location: Walterdale Theatre – Glenfield Rehearsal Hall

Audition Dates:
July 14, 5:00pm – 9:00pm

Rehearsals Begin:

Play Synopsis:
In the backstage a Broadway theater in the mid-1980s, the chorus girls and their dressers are waging a turf battle. Who is the mysterious new dresser, and will she be able to find her way? This show is a funny, touching, behind-the-scenes glimpse at every day lives, set against a period in the history where women’s issues and the AIDS crisis play out in the background.

Copies of the script will be available at the Theatre Alberta library for borrowing and for in-library perusal.

NOTE: ACTORS PORTRAYING CHORUS GIRLS WILL IN BRA/PANTIES FOR MOST OF THE SHOW.

Please ensure that actors auditioning for these roles are comfortable with this level of undress.

Special Skills:
Dance/movement background helpful for chorus parts. While there is no formal “dance”, the ladies will be marking dance choreography during scenes.
