Your audition will be approximately 30 minutes long.
Synopsis:
Mrs. Stancliffe’s Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast has been successful for many years. Her guests (nearly all women) return year after year. Her next-door neighbor, the elderly, silver-tongued Bud “Bud the Stud” Davis, believes they come to spend time with him in romantic liaisons. Her other neighbor and would-be suitor, Henry Mitchell, is a retired chemist who has developed a blue pill called “Venusia,” after Venus the goddess of love, to increase the libido of menopausal women. Bud gets his hands on some of the Venusia pills, and the fun begins as he attempts to entertain three women! The women mix up Bud’s Viagra pills with the Venusia, and we soon discover Bud has all the symptoms of menopausal women, complete with hot flashes, mood swings, weeping, and irritability!
CHARACTERS: 2 men, 4 women
Mrs. Stancliffe – 60+, precise in speech and punctuality, she give the impression of efficiency and competence
Henry Mitchell – 60+, mild mannered man that is a chemist and Mrs. Stancliffe’s “Gentleman Caller”
Victoria Ambrose – 50+, renowned author of steamy romances novels, she’s looking for romance in her life
Hillary Hudson – 50+, elegant, charming, best described as “A touch of class”, intelligent and menopausal
The roles of Bud Davis and Charmaine Beauregard have been cast.

First Rehearsal: Wednesday, October 29, 2025
Rehearsal Dates:
• M T – November 10 & 11
• M T – November 17 & 18
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, weekly starting in the week of November 24, 2025
• Rehearsals will be 6:30-9:30 pm
• There will be a break between December 23-28, 2025.
• Rehearsal frequency and length may increase closer to opening night

Actors will be notified of casting decision as soon as possible. Scripts will be provided once a role has been accepted.
