The love affair with the timeless beauty began in 1959, when she was just 14. Living in Germany, where her stepfather was stationed in the Air Force, she met a young Elvis Presleyas he was serving overseas. The two fell in love, married in 1967, and became one of the most buzzed-about celebrity couples of the 20th century. Despite divorcing in 1973, Prsicilla has continued to speak fondly about their time together over the years.
Following her famous marriage, Priscilla carved out her own identity. Launching an acting career in the ’80s, she appeared on a number of fan-favorite productions, from the original Naked Gun franchise and The Fall Guy series, to Melrose Place and an iconic run on Dallas.
Her most recent screen appearance was in the Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson hit 2025 reboot of The Naked Gun, still flexing her comedic timing like a pro. She also memorably competed on Dancing With the Stars in 2008, candidly joking later on that she couldn’t wait to get kicked off the show.
Also a savvy businesswoman, Priscilla transformed Graceland into a major cultural landmark after Elvis’ death in 1977, preserving the King of Rock and Roll’s legacy for future generations. Without her vision, the destination may never have become the pilgrimage it is today.
Renowned for her mystique, beauty, and style, the icon and mother of two has continued to inspire new generations through books, documentaries, and film — perhaps most notably Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla biographical drama in 2023 adapted from Priscilla’s 1985 memoir, Elvis and Me. Starring Jacob Elordi and Cailee Spaeny, the film earned critical acclaim and introduced her story to an entirely new audience.
Today, Priscilla is still out there, sharing her life with fans, even openly discussing the heartbreaking and tragic loss of her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, three years ago. Through it all, she’s remained exactly what pop culture has always seen her as: timeless.
Happy birthday, Miss Priscilla.
