Banff Caribou Properties has opened two new hotels, Hotel Canoe & Suites and The Otter Hotel, in the Uptown Banff district, each featuring distinct dining experiences.

Banff Caribou Properties has announced the opening of two new hotels, Hotel Canoe & Suites and The Otter Hotel, located in the Uptown Banff district. The properties are situated on the site formerly known as The Inns of Banff, which the company acquired in 2005.

Hotel Canoe & Suites is designed to cater to adventure-seeking guests, aligning with Banff’s reputation as a destination for outdoor activities. The Otter Hotel targets mature travelers seeking a quieter and more refined environment. Both establishments are rated as four-star properties and include a rooftop wellness area with hot pools, saunas, and lounge spaces offering views of the Canadian Rockies.

The hotels also feature unique dining options. Hotel Canoe & Suites houses Sudden Sally, a restaurant serving comfort food in a lively setting. It includes a bakery and grab-and-go counter offering house-made pastries and artisan coffee. The Otter Hotel includes Good Folk, a restaurant with a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Both restaurants have been developed with input from Calgary restaurateurs Dwayne and Alberta Ennest.
