Carmen Electra shows no hesitation slipping into her iconic Baywatch swimsuit.
Best known for her role as Lani McKenzie, the Hawaiian aspiring dancer turned lifeguard in the hit TV series, the character was her breakthrough performance that cemented her status as one of the era’s most recognizable sex symbols.
With the show concluding in 2001 after 11 seasons, the TV series is making a splash once again with an upcoming reboot.
Following the announcement, Electra gave her honest opinion about the new series.
When asked whether she is open to joining the remake, she expressed enthusiasm.
“It could be fun,” she told TMZ, adding that they are currently in talks.
However, while showing interest, the actress revealed there’s a limit to what she’ll do.
“I don’t know if I’d want to be in the water,” the Scary Movie star noted. “It’s the ocean, you know? I love being around the ocean. Working in it is very different. When you’re working in the ocean, it is very complicated.”

Since the Baywatch days are decades ago, the actress hinted she can still deliver some of the most iconic moments.
“I could do the slow-motion run,” Electra said, referring to the show’s most famous trademarks. “I can definitely do that. And I still look really good in that suit, so that is not a problem. But the water — maybe I could be a captain!”
Baywatch, which debuted in 1989 via NBC, featured the original cast including David Hasselhoff, Parker Stevenson, Shawn Weatherly, Erika Eleniak and others.
The 53-year-old actress joined the show in Season 8, while co-stars Yasmine Bleeth and Pamela Anderson, famous for their roles as lifeguards, joined in Season 3.
