Could Once Upon a Time be rebooted? It’s a question that fans of the fairytale inspired show have been asking since the series finale in 2018.
Over the years, there has been chatter about your favorite characters being brought back for more adventures in Storybrooke, and now we know that there’s at least one person who would be interested in reprising her role.
On a recent podcast appearance, actress Lana Parrilla (who played the Evil Queen and Regina Mills) shared that she’d consider reprising her role on the show — if it were to ever be rebooted.
“I’ve always had mixed feelings about it because the series ran for so long,” Parrilla, 48, said on the August 19 episode of the I’ve Never Said This Before podcast. “I was like, ‘I don’t know what more we can tell, these characters have been so deeply fleshed out.’ But there’s always more stories. And that character has a huge piece of my heart, so I would be open to it, for sure.”

“What I forgot about over the years is how great the writing is,” she continued. “I mean, I know the writing is great; it has to start with that for a show to be successful. But I forgot how many quotes were great in it and how they were like more lessons for people.”
The show’s creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz wrapped things up after seven seasons, but there are plenty of loose ends that could unravel for more storylines in the future.
Parrilla isn’t the only actor who has expressed interest in a return to the series, either. Ginnifer Goodwin (Snow White, Mary Margaret) has also said that she’d “love” to return to the show if the opportunity ever arose.

“I hear these rumors as well, and I am available if they [want to do that],” Goodwin told People magazine in August 2024. “I mean, I live around the corner from the creator, so I’m sure I’ll hear things.”
“I’d love to go back. My whole life is kind of built around it. I mean, I married Prince Charming. His babies are my babies,” she added. She and her husband, Josh Dallas (Prince Charming, David), met on the series and fell in love. The two tied the knot in 2014 and have two children together.
