Popular kids content creator Danny Go, known for his viral YouTube show, with hits like The Floor Is Lava and Spooky Spiders Everywhere, is mourning the loss of his beloved son following a lengthy health battle.
On Friday, May 22, Danny Go, real name Daniel Coleman, announced that his son died, writing, “Isaac Daniel Coleman 10/3/11 – 5/21/26.”
“Oh my sweet boy. There’s so much I want to say, but I don’t know how yet. I already miss you so much, and the pain in my heart is far more than I can process,” he began.
“But looking through thousands of pictures and videos this past week, I’m also filled with tremendous pride. Your 14 years were full of so many challenges, but you met them all with such grit…and you somehow kept your trademark joy in spite of it all. You truly had a spark like no other, Isaac! Remembering how loved you were and how full of life your time here was gives me great comfort. Being your dad was the honor of a lifetime.”
He concluded his post, addressing his late so directly, “I’m so proud of you and I love you forever. Rest peacefully, son.”

Fans poured into the comment section with prayers and condolences, as one wrote, “Without Isaac there is no Danny Go. His impact is and will be felt by millions of children who find so much joy in what you bring to us in our living rooms. Such a profound impact for only 14 years of life. Rest well.”
“I’m so heartbroken. Here’s my wish that life treats you gently while you heal 💕” another expressed.
The father of two—who shares sons Isaac and Levi (8) with wife Mindy Coleman—previously revealed that his eldest was diagnosed with stage 3 mouth cancer.
In April, he took to Instagram to reveal that Isaac was in hospice care to help manage the pain and the family was “just doing our best to make each day as enjoyable and restful as possible for him.”
“The high-level update is that his cancer has continued to spread aggressively and his energy levels have dropped very low,” he explained.
Coleman cancelled his Danny Go tour in February for the remainder of the year to be with his family, as Isaac’s health took a turn, and following his diagnosis in December.
Isaac was also born with Fanconi Anemia, which is described by the Cleveland Clinic as “a rare, inherited genetic disease that prevents the bone marrow from producing enough blood cells, leading to bone marrow failure.”
At the time, Coleman expressed, “TBH, we always knew this day was coming, as it’s a near certainty w/ Fanconi anemia. But it’s definitely hitting a little earlier than we hoped and is still just such a shocking thing to hear about your child, even if you’ve braced for it for years.”
Fans have been rallying behind the Coleman family during this difficult time, streaming Danny Go! shows on YouTube and Netflix on a loop to help generate revenue for the family.
Danny Go’s YouTube channel has been active since 2021 and has amassed more than 4.5 million followers, with his show landing on Netflix this past April. He provides live-action educational shows for kids featuring music, movement and imaginative scenarios focusing on learning, physical activity and social-emotional development.
