Looking for a fun event to get you out of the house this winter? The Vancouver Maritime Museum is hosting a special meet-cute just in time for Valentine’s Day, and it’s designed to spark new connections and curiosities.
Adults-only night
The adults-only (19+) night takes place after the museum’s typical hours end, from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 13, 2026.
Guests are invited to explore the museum’s exhibits and chat it up in a low-pressure social atmosphere. The evening will include fun drag performances by What the Frock Productions, interactive games and trivia, hands-on crafts, and plenty of photo-ops in between.
Meet-cute attendees can also enjoy a private, curator-led tour of the museum’s galleries with Ermen Delicarpini and host Phyllis Hull, which will include rarely-seen graphic-rated scrimshaw (traditional maritime carvings into whale bone).
Oh, and there will be plenty of local wine and cider to sip as you peruse the museum and meet new friends.
“We’re excited to bring a fresh, social twist to the Museum’s calendar,” says Emma Forgie,
Programs Coordinator for the Vancouver Maritime Museum. “Museum Mate Meet‑Cute is all about enjoying history, making connections, and celebrating shared curiosity in an inclusive, fun environment.”
How much are tickets?
Tickets to the meet-cute are available online for $35 per person, and space is limited. So make sure you snag a ticket sooner rather than later!
Whether you’re hoping to connect with someone new and bond over your love of maritime history, planning an adventurous date night, or simply want to experience the museum at an after-hours event, this meet-cute promises a fun-filled evening inspired by the sea.
You never know what (or who) the night will bring!
