Netflix has just presented its ambitious slate of Spanish original productions for 2026. From the return of the smash-hit Berlin to a gripping new historical miniseries about Spain’s first serial killer, here is your comprehensive guide to everything coming to Netflix from Spain this year.
During an event in Madrid, Netflix brought together some of the most prominent figures in Spanish storytelling to reveal what is next. The presentation, using the tarot theme Netflix has been using for this Next on Netflix / What Next? campaign from the start of the year highlighted a mix of returning favorites, high-profile book adaptations, and gritty true crime stories.

En nombre de otro
Genre: Thriller | Format: Movie | Status: In Production
Written and directed by the master of twists Oriol Paulo (The Innocent), this fast-paced thriller (which translates literally to On behalf of another) is set to keep audiences guessing. Starring a heavyweight ensemble including Eduard Fernández, Mario Casas, Blanca Suárez, Nicolás Francella, and Alexandra Jiménez, the film is described simply as a story where “nothing is what it seems.”
Lobo
Genre: Historical Crime | Format: Miniseries | Status: In Production
This miniseries dives into the dark legend of Manuel Blanco Romasanta, a traveling tailor in 19th-century rural Galicia who became Spain’s first documented serial killer. During his trial, he famously claimed to be a werewolf, sparking a legend that persists to this day. Luis Tosar and Tristán Ulloa star in the project, which is produced by Vaca Films.
Miguel Ángel Blanco: las 48 horas que lo cambiaron todo
Genre: Documentary | Format: Film
A searing documentary exploring the 48 agonizing hours that scarred Spanish society forever. Directed by Jon Sistiaga and Juanjo López, the film revisits the kidnapping of Miguel Ángel Blanco by the terrorist group ETA. It documents the moment of national solidarity when millions mobilized in a desperate attempt to stop his murder, marking the turning point when Basque society lost its fear of the group.

Directed by Cesc Gay and based on his play of the same name, this comedy follows three siblings who meet to decide the fate of their 86-year-old father who has begun showing strange behavior. What starts as a polite family gathering quickly devolves into an unexpected and hilarious fight. Starring Carmen Machi, Javier Gutiérrez, and Javier Cámara.
A Day Like No Other

A project featuring the legendary Spanish singer Raphael.
Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine (Berlin Season 2)

The gang is back. Pedro Alonso returns as Berlin, reuniting with Damián and the crew for a new master heist in Seville. Their target is the “Lady with an Ermine” painting, but the true mark is the Duke of Málaga and his wife. Berlin faces off against a couple who think they can blackmail him, awakening his thirst for revenge. The cast includes Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, and new addition Inma Cuesta.

A workplace comedy centered on a company’s rural team-building retreat. What is meant to be a motivational getaway turns into a battlefield when the employees discover that mass layoffs are looming. Stars Raúl Tejón, Blanca Martínez, and Maribel Verdú.

Tristán Ulloa leads the cast of this new mystery set in the atmospheric region of Galicia.
RAFA
Genre: Documentary
Rafael Nadal faces the end of his stunning career and long-term home in tennis’ Mount Olympus with just one thing in mind: one last triumph. His final foe isn’t a competitor, but his body. This doc follows him in his long goodbye and, for the first and last time ever, he will share the intimate highs and lows that have turned him into one of the biggest athletes of all time.

Luis Tosar stars as an ambulance driver who fights to atone for his past mistakes. His life is upended when he discovers his daughter (Claudia Salas) has joined a violent neo-Nazi group. To save her, he must infiltrate the group, descending into a spiral of chaos and violence.
The Child (El niño)

Inspired by real events, this film tells the emotional story of a mother and grandfather dealing with the loss of a child in a tragic gas explosion in a town in Vizcaya in 1980. Featuring Belén Cuesta and Karra Elejalde in the leading roles.
The Final Problem (El problema final)
Genre: Period Mystery | Format: Series
Based on the bestselling novel by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, this series is a sophisticated “whodunit” set in 1959. Jose Coronado stars as a retired actor (famous for playing Sherlock Holmes) who finds himself investigating a real crime when a guest is found dead at a hotel on a small islet near Mallorca. The cast also features Maribel Verdú and Martiño Rivas.
