Blue Jays fans have officially devoured 1,000,000 Loonie Dogs this year, Canada Reviews

Toronto might be suffering through a brutal Blue Jays season, but if there’s one thing this city can do, it’s eat an absurd amount of cheap street meat.

The Blue Jays just announced that fans have smashed a franchise record, devouring more than one million of thier famous hot dogs (Loonie Dogs) in a single season for the first time.

Even with the Jays struggling to get above .500 — punctuated by a 5-3 loss to the Royals — the dome was buzzing. The Tuesday night special, presented by Schneiders, brings $1 hot dogs to concession stands around Rogers Centre, and fans have been taking full advantage.

Fans were averaging 92,526 Loonie Dogs per game before the million-dog milestone, blowing past the previous single-season record of 826,308 set in 2025. To mark the occasion, fans received custom “1 Million Loonie Dogs” T-shirts as they left the ballpark.

If you’ve braved the concourses on a Tuesday, you already know how chaotic it can be. Between the Hot Dog Teeter Totter at Schneiders Porch and the digital hot dog counter ticking upward throughout the game, it’s become its own event. Orders are capped at four hot dogs per person, and veggie and gluten-free options count toward the total, too.

The Jays might be having a rough season, but Toronto can at least say it ate a million hot dogs.
