Kimberly Williams-Paisley shared a new health update with her fans just a few weeks after opening up about her experience losing her voice for nearly two years.
As the Father of the Bride star explained in a Friday, Jan. 24, post on Instagram, she recently incurred a new injury—but she didn’t want her social media followers to feel sorry for her.

Williams-Paisley, who is married to country music star Brad Paisley, began her update by acknowledging that she hasn’t “posted in the feed in a while.” To change that, she uploaded a selfie showing her smiling at the camera while the sunset behind her painted the sky blue, orange and yellow.
“Caught the sunset in my hair and thought it looked cool,” she noted before sharing her latest piece of health news. “I fell and broke my foot last Saturday. But look Im walking around! So it’s not too bad.”

The 53-year-old actress concluded her caption by telling her fans she wants “No sympathy please!” before checking in on her Instagram followers, asking, “How’s everyone else doing today? Sending love to you—.”
Fans praised the According to Jim actress’ upbeat message in the post’s comment section, with one writing, “I’m so sorry about your foot but I love your positive attitude” and later adding that they “hope” Williams-Paisley will “heal quickly. ❤️🩹.”
“Appreciate the positive post, we all need more of them!🙏❤️,” another fan wrote as a third agreed, writing, “I love your view on situations a positive spin is good ❤️.”
Williams-Paisley’s update came on the heels of a couple of trying years for the actress, who lost her voice without knowing why in one “terrifying” moment at a public event in November 2022. She underwent surgery in August 2024 in an attempt to revive her voice. She told People for an interview that was published last month that the procedure made the situation “much better.”
