Susan Boyle is 65 and shining as a blonde on her birthday!
The Scottish singer, who skyrocketed to fame when her performance of “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Misérables at her Britain’s Got Talent audition went viral back in 2009, is doing better than ever after several years of health difficulties. Boyle took to Instagram on Thursday to thank her friends, family, and fans for the well-wishes on her birthday, and looked happy and healthy while sporting a chic blonde bob. Wearing a pink-and-white coat and glasses, the talented singer was surrounded by balloons as she expressed her gratitude.
“Thank you all so much for your lovely birthday wishes, cards, and gifts. I’ve felt so spoiled and very grateful for all your kindness.💕 I’m truly touched by all the love you’ve sent my way, it means more to me than I can say. I’m so excited for the year ahead and everything that’s to come. I can’t wait to share it all with you. 💫 With love, Susan x,” Boyle captioned the photo.

What Health Issues Has Susan Boyle Faced?
Boyle is shining these days brightly, but she’s faced significant challenges in the years following her breakout success. She was diagnosed with Asperger’s in 2013 and explained that she deals with depression and mood swings, according to The Guardian. However, she made it clear the diagnosis wouldn’t define her.
“It will not make any difference to my life. It’s just a condition that I have to live with and work through,” she explained.
In April of 2022, she suffered a stroke. On Instagram, she opened up about the event and the battle to recover.
“For the past year I have worked so hard to get my speech and singing back, with the sole aim of being able to sing on stage again & tonight my hard work & perseverance paid off, singing the song that started it all, ‘I Dreamed A Dream’…”
