Budi Widodo, a seasoned hospitality professional with over two decades of experience, has been promoted to General Manager at the Four Seasons Resort Seychelles at Desroches Island. Widodo has been with the resort since September 2023, during which time he has made significant contributions to its operations.
Widodo’s career in the hospitality industry began in his teenage years, when he worked as a bartender and wine bar assistant. His subsequent roles have spanned a range of establishments, including luxury hotels and cruise ships.
In 2001, Widodo joined the Park Lane Hotel in Jakarta as assistant restaurant manager, eventually advancing to head bar Manager. His professional journey continued at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta and Hotel Mulia, Jakarta. Widodo joined the Four Seasons Hotel in Jakarta in 2010 as Food and Beverage Director.
Significant positions, including roles at Four Seasons Resort Maldives at Kuda Huraa and the former Four Seasons Hotel Shanghai have marked Widodo’s tenure with the Four Seasons brand. In 2017, he was appointed Hotel Manager in Shanghai where he demonstrated his leadership and operational expertise.
Under Widodo’s leadership, AHI, the resort’s Japanese dining venue, opened in late 2024. The resort plans to develop further in the coming year, particularly in recreation, food, and beverage.
In addition to his professional commitments, Widodo is passionate about mentoring emerging talents in the hospitality industry and actively participates in community activities. He enjoys exploring new culinary experiences, attending music festivals, and indulging in his interests, which include Formula 1 racing, jogging, cooking, and fishing in his spare time.
