Bumpers arcade bar is opening soon in Toronto’s Annex, Canada Reviews

24 August 20262 Mins Read

A new retro-themed arcade bar is opening soon in Toronto’s Annex neighbourhood. The aptly named “Bumpers” is from the team behind the popular Toronto barcade Tilt, and it’s taking over the former Stella’s Kitchen space at 182 Dupont St.

The news was announced last Wednesday by OMG Real Estate, which helped broker the deal. Details are still under wraps, including an exact opening date, but we know that the space is pretty huge, measuring about 3,760 square feet and featuring a large rear patio. It was previously licensed for 219 guests inside and another 114 on the patio.

Before Bumpers, the space was home to Stella’s Kitchen, the retro-inspired Italian restaurant that opened in 2024 in the former Pour House. Stella’s served handmade pizzas and pastas alongside nostalgic treats like soft-serve ice cream and banana splits, all in a colourful spot filled with retro-style posters, checkered tablecloths and patio umbrellas (the restaurant closed for good in late 2025).

As for what gamers can expect from Bumpers, the Tilt connection (and, well, perhaps the name) offers a pretty big clue!

Tilt’s Queen West arcade bar is packed with more than 90 games, including vintage arcade cabinets, pinball machines and console gaming, with guests currently paying a flat $10 cover for unlimited play. There’s also a full bar and a menu filled with comfort eats ranging from burgers and wings to poutine and deep-fried Oreos.

Whether Bumpers will follow that exact formula remains to be seen, but its retro arcade theme and huge space could make for some epic nights out.
