Buzz Aldrin, 95, Gushes Over Wife, 66, in Rare Post

14 May 20253 Mins Read

Buzz Aldrin is celebrating his wife on her special day.

The legendary astronaut, 95, took to social media on Tuesday, May 13, to share a sweet photo and an even sweeter sentiment to his wife, Anca Faur.

“Happy Happy Birthday to my love, Anca! ❤️🌹,” Aldrin captioned the photo, which showed him and Faur, his fourth wife, on their wedding day on January 20, 2023 — Aldrin’s 93rd birthday. The snap featured the couple looking at each other lovingly — him in a tuxedo fitted with badges on the lapel; her in a white gown with sheer, lace details.

“I love every minute together!” he wrote.

Aldrin’s followers immediately began praising the couple, with several making reference to the NASA icon’s historic Apollo 11 mission to the moon.

“May you both set foot on Mars one day hand in hand. 🥰,” one person replied on X.

“Dr. Aldrin.. Buzzing with love ❤️,” another quipped.

“Happy birthday Anca! Have a dance together, Michael Jackson moonwalk style,” a third fan wrote.

Aldrin — who was the second person to set foot on the moon during Apollo 11’s historic lunar mission in 1969 — has been married to Faur, a chemical engineer, for two years. The couple have been together since 2018.

“I have never been happier in my life than now with my time with Anca,” Aldrin gushed to People after tying the knot.

“She is the love of my life,” he continued of Faur, “and we do everything together, from eating meals, planning projects and watching the world go by, to meeting with our two families and celebrating — as we are at this 55th anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing,” the former fighter pilot — who is the only living astronaut from the Apollo 11 mission — told the outlet at a celebration for the groundbreaking moment. “I am lucky beyond words.”

Prior to his marriage to Faur, Aldrin was married to first wife Joan Archer, for 20 years between 1954 and 1974, and with whom he had three children. He then married Beverly Van Zile, from whom he split in 1978. Aldrin’s third marriage was to Lois Driggs Cannon, from 1988 to 2012. They were married for over 20 years.

After Archer’s death in 2015, Aldrin paid tribute to her on Facebook.

“My first wife Joan was a loving wife and the best mother to our three children, James Michael, Jan and Andy. She was the one cheering me on when I went to space on Gemini 12 and #Apollo11,” he wrote at the time. “I couldn’t have done it without her strong support and love. … We will never ever forget her.”
