Caitvi Love Scene From Arcane Season 2 Most Captured Moment In Netflix History

Arcane Season 2 Features Most Captured Moment In Netflix History

In a recent presentation unveiling Netflix’s redesigned TV experience, one small but powerful detail stood out: the most saved scene in Netflix’s mobile “Moments” feature is the kiss between V and Caitlyn in Season 2 Episode 8 of Arcane.

Now we actually posted this news yesterday on Twitter (or X if you’re so inclined), and the post went a bit bananas. Half a million views later, we thought we’d add a bit more flesh to the bone as to what exactly moments are and what exactly said for Arcane to be given that accolade.

For those not in the loop, Moments is a feature that allows members to save, rewatch, and share favorite scenes from Netflix content. It began rolling out globally on October 28th and is available on mobile devices only. According to Chief Product Officer Eunice Kim, this feature has been widely embraced by users, especially those who love reliving emotional highlights or posting them on social media. And among all those shared scenes, one rose above the rest: the tender, long-awaited kiss between two of Arcane’s fan-favorite characters.

“Late last year, we released a new mobile feature that lets members easily save, rewatch, and share moments from their favorite shows,” Eunice Kim, Netflix’s Chief Product Officer said, “Fun fact, the top saved scene is the kiss between V and Caitlin in season two of Arcane, and five of the top ten moments have been from Squid Game. It’s been exciting to see these moments being shared all over social media. We’ll be investing more in this space in the coming months.”

Of course, season 2 rolled out over several weeks in three acts in November (shortly after the feature rolled out) and spent six weeks in the global top 10s, picking up 130.30 million hours watched, equating to 27.80 million views.

A screenshot in the presentation featured several moments, all of which were from season 2, episode 8, “Killing is a Cycle,” including moments at 28:50, 14:52, and 35:00. The 28:50 shot is when Vi is in prison and Caitlyn (the duo are dubbed Caitvi by fans) and the two share an intimate scene and as the Netflix executive said, features some kissing, among other interactions…

The news of it being the most captured moment went over well with fans. “LEAGUE OF LESBIANS CAITVI YOULL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS,” read one reply, with another remarking, “‘that fanservice scene that nobody watched’ yeah sure. My shaylas we need another scene like that asap.”

While Arcane may be over (not canceled!), plenty of rumors are flying around about where the series is headed next. The team behind the show has already stated they’re working on new projects, and one we heard recently that was in development was a spin-off called Iron & Chains.
