Calgary’s PetFest will feature adorable corgi races and fascinating exotic animals

24 March 20263 Mins Read

Ever wonder what it feels like to cheer on corgis, meet exotic animals up close, and browse dozens of animal-themed vendors all in one day? PetFest at Spruce Meadows delivers all that and more, with activities such as petting zoos, adoptable animals, and vendors showcasing pet-related products and treats.

What to expect at PetFest

At Petfest, the fun starts the moment you step inside. Visitors won’t want to miss the corgi races and the daschund dash, where speedy pups will race to the finish line.

For families looking for hands-on experiences, the mini-animal petting zoo and exotic animal encounters offer visitors the chance to get up close to creatures big and small. Additionally, live demonstrations will be held, offering insight into animal behaviour, providing a blend of education and entertainment.

Little ones aren’t left out either; bouncy castles provide a fun spot to jump and burn off energy, while parents can check out all the demonstrations and shopping opportunities.

The festival shines the spotlight on adoptable animals, offering guests the chance to meet adorable pets looking for their forever homes. Whether you’re hoping to bring a new furry friend into your life or just there to watch and enjoy, this heartwarming experience adds an extra layer of joy to the day.

PetFest is also a shopping adventure, with over sixty vendors in attendance, you can browse treats, toys, and apparel for both humans and pets. It’s the perfect opportunity to shop for unique items, discover new brands, and maybe pick up a little something for your furry friend.

With exciting races, interactive animal experiences, and adorable adoptable pets, PetFest is a full-day adventure perfect for the whole family.

Plan your visit

Before heading to PetFest, make sure to plan to ensure a smooth visit. Tickets are required, so purchase yours online in advance to guarantee entry. Since the festival is packed with events, arriving early is a great way to make the most of everything.

Parking is available in lots seven and eight on the west side of the property, accessible via Spruce Meadows Green and Tournament Lane, with convenient access to the grounds.
