Candace Cameron Bure Mourns Devastating Personal Loss

Candace Cameron Bure mourned a devastating personal loss with a heartbreaking tribute to her Full House father, the late Bob Saget, on his birthday.

On Saturday, May 17, Cameron Bure, 49—who portrayed DJ Tanner on the beloved sitcom— took to Instagram to honor the actor who portrayed her on-screen dad, Danny Tanner.

Saget died in January 2022 from blunt head trauma; he was 65.

“Woke up this morning with something on my mind. It was you,” Cameron Bure captioned her update. “Happy birthday sweet friend. I miss you 🤍🤍🤍.”

In the post, the actress included a slideshow of photos and video clips featuring Saget through the years.

Folks in the comments expressed their love and condolences on what would have been Saget’s 69th birthday—after they dried their eyes with tissues first.

One Instagram user declared, “We all miss our dad 🥹♥️.”
