Celebrate the best of fall with a pumpkin hunt and tractor ride near Calgary

11 September 20253 Mins Read

Granary Road is an expert in crafting the most Instagram-worthy fall vibes, and if you’re itching to become king of the pumpkin patch, you definitely won’t want to miss this!

Granary Road‘s annual Harvest Fair is back for four weekends of fall fun from Sept. 20 to Oct. 12, 2025. An all-access admission will allow you to participate in a variety of family-friendly activities, including their popular annual pumpkin hunt and a scenic tractor ride through lush autumn trees.

Bring your little ones for pony rides, face-painting and all-you-can-eat contests. There’s also a Farmer’s Market with fill-a-bag specials where you can stock up on essential produce for canning season, including Alberta garlic and cucumbers and B.C apples.

This is a guaranteed fun event that sells out annually each year, so don’t forget to snag a ticket or two early.

What to expect

Granary Road is a family farm and recreation area located southwest of Calgary, near Lloyd Park Disc Golf Course and Red Deer Lake. In fact, it’s so close to Calgary that it’ll only take you 13 minutes by car to drive there from Spruce It Up Garden Centre in the southeast community of Legacy.

Granary Road is the ultimate fall day trip for you and the whole family, offering immersive agricultural experiences from hanging out with farm animals to mini golf and goat yoga.

The fall is the best time to visit Granary Road, when autumn festivities and pumpkin worship are in full force. Take part in the popular annual Pumpkin Hunt to search the patch for the biggest orange giant of your own to take home, or satisfy your sweet tooth on caramel candy apples.

There will be plenty of chickens, miniature ponies, and other farmyard friends to pat, plus you can perfect your putt at the Yesteryear Mini-Golf Course, included in day admission.

It’s time to celebrate the spirit of the season, and Granary Road is the ultimate place to do it. Prepare yourself for the patch!

When: Saturday, Sept. 20 to Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025
Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Granary Road — 226066 112th St. West, Foothills County, Alta.
Cost: $20
