Channing Tatum is never single for long. For a good chunk of his career, he was married to Jenna Dewan, his co-star in the 2006 dance romance Step Up. After they split in 2018, he dated singer Jessie J for nearly two years and actressZoë Kravitz for three (one of which they were engaged). Now, he’s walking red carpets with Australian model Inka Williams.
Despite his string of romances, Tatum claimed in a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair (when he was still with Kravitz) that relationships are “hard” for him. “Even though I am a bit of a monogamist,” he admitted. “In business, I have no real fear of anything being destroyed. But heart things, when it comes to people I love, I have a really hard time. I end up trying too hard, you know?”

Is Channing Tatum married?
No. The Magic Mike star has only been married once, to Jenna Dewan. They tied the knot on July 11, 2009, after about three years of dating.
Recalling how they became a couple after meeting on the set of Step Up, Dewan once told Cosmopolitan, “It was two nights of being weird. We hadn’t even kissed. And then he went out partying with a bunch of dancers. His room was right above mine, and he came down drunk with a sombrero on, banging on my door. He was like, ‘I couldn’t stop thinking about you. Let’s do this. I just want to be with you.’ From that point forward, we were together.”

Why did Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan split?
Announcing their separation with a joint Instagram post in April 2018, the former couple, who share a daughter, Everly, said in part, “There are no secrets nor salacious events at the root of our decision—just two best friends realizing it’s time to take some space and help each other live the most joyous, fulfilled lives as possible.”
Tatum gave more insight into their split in a 2023 interview with Vanity Fair. “We fought for it for a really long time, even though we both sort of knew that we had sort of grown apart,” he said. “I think we told ourselves a story when we were young [about our opposites-attract romance that started while filming Step Up], and we just kept telling ourselves that story, no matter how blatantly life was telling us that we were so different.”
For her part, Dewan told Peoplethat she was “gutted” when they ended their marriage. “It was so difficult for me. It was the loss of an idealistic future for myself and my life. What does that now look like for me? Where do I begin? I met him when I was 24. I didn’t know life without Chan.”
“It was a hard journey of growth and change,” she continued. “Ultimately, now I can honestly say that I’m living in a very joyful new place in my life, and I’m happy about it.” (She’s engaged to actor Steve Kazee, with whom she shares two kids.)
Why did Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s divorce take so long?
While they were declared legally single in 2019, Tatum and Dewan’s divorce wasn’t settled until 2024, six years after they separated. One sticking point involved the Magic Mike franchise, which Dewan’s legal team argued was developed during her marriage to Tatum and financed using marital funds, therefore entitling her to a cut of the intellectual property. In one particularly acrimonious turn, Dewan’s team accused Tatum of hiding assets, which he denied. Meanwhile, his team once accused her of “delay tactics.”
The couple finally settled in 2024 to avoid a trial, although the terms of their agreement were kept private.
Who is Channing Tatum currently in a relationship with?
Tatum is in a seemingly serious relationship with Australian model/fashion entrepreneur Inka Williams, whom he reportedly met through friends. They were first linked in February 2025 (about four months after he ended his engagement to Kravitz), when they were spotted leaving a pre-Oscars party in Los Angeles.
In April, Williams wished him a happy birthday on Instagram, writing, “Happy life to the handsomest, kindest, funniest, stoopidest most gorgeous human ever !!! Merci for making life beautiful and fun.” She then told him “I love you very much,” albeit in French slang.
Cut to her birthday in September, and Tatum also took to Instagram to express his adoration for his significant other. “Happiest day of birth to my RIDER! Love you so,” he wrote.
Days later, they made their red carpet debut at the premiere of Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle in L.A. Tatum’s 12-year-old daughter, Everly, was also in attendance.

Are Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum still together?
No. They split in October 2024, after three years together and one year engaged. The breakup came not long after they went on a press tour to promote Kravitz’s directorial debut, Blink Twice, in which Tatutm starred. Despite their split being mere months on the horizon, the pair raved about their experience working together.
“It was just easy,” Tatum told E! News. “Making movies are hard. One thing I will say is if you think you’re in love with somebody and you’re thinking about, ‘Do I want to stay with them forever or be with them or have a child with them or get married?’ Go find the hardest possible project that you can physically find.”
He went on to explain that making the movie together proved their strength as a couple. “Our relationship was sort of born inside of the creative process of it in a way,” he said. “…That was what brought us together and made us really feel like we’re very connected on what we love about life, what we love about just things in general about being alive.”

Why did Channing and Zoë split up?
Neither party publicly explained their breakup, but reports have suggested they grew apart due to their demanding careers and “realized they’re at different stages in life.” Geography apparently played a role as well: “Channing spends a lot of time in Los Angeles because of his daughter, but Zoë prefers NYC,” a source told People. Still, the split was said to be amicable.
Speaking to Elle after the breakup, Kravitz praised Tatum’s work in Blink Twice. “I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much,” she said. “Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened. I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together.”
She went on to say that she believes her ex “has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him. He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.”
Did Channing Tatum date Jessie J?
Yes. News broke of their romance in October 2018 and they were photographed hand-in-hand in London the following March — a turn of events that Jessie J said put “pressure” on the couple.
“Chan and I got photographed before our relationship was even a thing and that created such pressure,” she told The Times. “We’ve needed time to get to know each other. We’ve just had our first holiday together, which was wonderful, but that’s all I’m saying.”
The couple lasted until December 2019.
Why did Jessie J split from Channing Tatum?
People reported that the “timing was off” for the pair. “He is super busy with his career and as a dad,” a source told the outlet. “He has a world awaiting him and is trying to manage how busy he is, which isn’t easy.”
But Jessie J took to Instagram to share her own take on matters. “In my most recent breakup, there was no drama. No hate. No juicy gossip,” she said. “We are just two very normal (happen to be famous) people who met. Dated. Had so much fun! And just admitted over time it didn’t work as a romantic relationship. Still friends. Still respect and have love for one another. Simple.”
