An exciting new romantic K-drama, Chilling Romance, starring Park Eun Bin, Yang Se Jong, and Ong Seung Wu, is coming to Netflix in July 2026. Here’s everything we know about the K-drama.
Chilling Romance is an upcoming licensed South Korean Netflix Original romantic comedy series directed by Lee Min Soo and written by Choi Jung Mi, who has adapted the screenplay from the 2011 movie Spellbound.
When is Chilling Romance released on Netflix?
All we know so far is that multiple sources have stated that Chilling Romance will be coming to Netflix. It remains unclear whether this will be a global release or an APAC (Asia-Pacific) release.

The release month has been confirmed as July 2026, with episodes released on Saturdays and Sundays. There will be 12 episodes in total.

What is the plot of Chilling Romance?
The synopsis for the K-drama has been sourced from MyDramaList:
“An investigative occult romance drama about a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who team up in a chaotic partnership. The heiress is haunted every night by the restless spirits of people who died unjustly, while the prosecutor works tirelessly to solve unsolved murder cases, taking on society’s hidden evils together.”
Who are the cast members of Chilling Romance?
The three confirmed leads are Park Eun Bin, Yang Se Jong, and Ong Seong Wu.
Park Eun Bin has been one of the most in-demand actresses in Korea, which is thanks to her excellent acting in dramas such as Hello My Twenties, Hot Stove League, The King’s Affection, Castaway Diva, and Extraordinary Attorney Woo. Not to mention, she is also starring in Netflix’s upcoming K-drama The WONDERfools. Park Eun Bin will play Cheon Yeo Ri.
Chen Yeo Ri has the following character description:
“Cheon Yeo Ri is the heiress of one of Korea’s top conglomerates and the CEO of a luxury hotel. With stunning beauty and undeniable aura of wealth, she seems to have everything, but she hides a fatal secret: she can see ghosts.”

Yang Se Jong has also starred in several Netflix projects, including Doona and My Country: The New Age. Outside of Netflix, he is most well-known for starring in dramas such as Dr. Romantic, Still 17, Duel, and Temperature of Love. Yang Se Jong plays Ma Gang Uk.
Ma Gong Uk has the following character description
“Ma Gang Uk is an ace prosecutor with great physique, intelligence, rich emotions, and a just nature who ends up falling in love with a woman who can see ghosts.”

Ong Seung Wu hasn’t starred in a K-drama since 2023, when he was last seen in Strong Girl Nam Soon; however, the gap in his acting roles is largely due to his mandatory military service, which ended in October 2024. He has a cameo appearance in the highly anticipated K-drama Boyfriend in Demand. Ong Seong Wu plays Kang Min Hwan. The actor is most well-known for being a member of the K-Pop group WANNA ONE, where he was the lead dancer and vocalist.
