Christina Aguilera has sent fans reeling with her latest avant-garde fashion moment.
On Saturday, Aug. 9, the Burlesque star shared an edgy Instagram video to show off a stylish black-and-white ensemble, but her fans aren’t exactly sure what to make of edgy new look.

In the new video, Aguilera, 44, is dressed in a sparkly black mini dress while carrying a handbag that appears to be designed to look like a floor-length dress.
The faux gown features a black leather bust, which acts as the handle of the bag, while a long train of white fabric makes up the dramatic skirt of the “dress,” which is scattered with black paint-like handprints.

Along with the extravagant purse, Aguilera accessorized her sparkly outfit with black tights and matching sheer sleeves that reached all the way up her arms. She was also sporting some gothic black lipstick for the clip, while her hair was slicked back to achieve a sultry wet look.
“side by side 😈” the powerhouse vocalist captioned her Instagram post—which was set to the song “Me and the Devil”—leaving fans to wonder if the video might have had a deeper significance.
“Queen. What are you hinting?” one of her fans wanted to know, while another wondered, “Is this for a new music video she is doing?”
“What are you up to?? 🧐🧐🧐” another curious fan inquired in the comments.
A number of other fans were equally as confused over Aguilera’s new post, with several users asking more questions like, “What is going on?” and “What is thissss.”
It’s not the first time fans have wondered if the “Genie in a Bottle” songstress has something up her sleeve lately, as another one of her recent social media posts made fans believe that she might be introducing a “new era” of music sometime soon.
“You better be hinting something!!!” one commenter wrote on the most recent video, while another one of Aguilera’s fans insisted that “Something’s coming.”
