Christopher Eastmond has been named general manager of Hodges Bay Resort & Spa, part of the HQ Collection by sbe in Antigua. In this role, Eastmond will oversee all aspects of operations at the luxury beachfront property.
Eastmond’s responsibilities include managing ongoing renovations at the resort, which feature upgraded rooms and suites, enhanced amenities, updated programming, and improvements to the dining outlets. He will also oversee the upcoming opening of Katsuya Beach, the Caribbean’s first outpost of the Katsuya brand from Master Chef Katsuya Uechi.
Eastmond brings more than three decades of global hospitality experience, including over 20 years leading and repositioning resorts in the Caribbean. His previous roles include leadership positions at Belle Mont Farm at Kittitian Hill in St. Kitts & Nevis, Canouan Estate Resort & Villas and Bequia Beach Hotel in St. Vincent & The Grenadines, Curtain Bluff in Antigua, and O2 Beach Club & Spa in Barbados.
He began his career in the United Kingdom after graduating from Bournemouth University and served as a Corporate Management trainee at Hilton UK, working in various roles across five properties. He later spent five years at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London before moving to the Caribbean.
