Will Reeve seems to be following in his late father’s footsteps.
The ABC correspondent was spotted on the set of James Gunn’s Superman, which he wrote the screenplay for and is directing, as seen in what appear to be behind-the-scenes photos of a possible cameo from Christopher Reeve’s son, some 40 years after his late father last played Clark Kent.
In the snaps, posted on X by a user who identifies as a “Producer/Assistant Director/Production Coordinator” and DC Comics fan—and who assumedly is working on the set of the latest iteration of the superhero flick—the 32-year-old was seen looking rather dapper in a deep blue suit as he clasped hands with the director. Bystanders applauded before the two men embraced one another warmly.
According to Cleveland-area NBC affiliate WKYC, the news correspondent seemed to be mimicking real life, as he appeared to be portraying a reporter during a scene filmed in the city’s Public Square.

Christopher began portraying the Man of Steel in 1978, with a blockbuster film launching him into stardom. He went on to film several sequels throughout the ’80s.
Nearly two decades after his final Superman film, he was thrown from his horse during an equestrian competition that left him paralyzed from the neck down. Over the next nine years, he became one of the most vocal proponents for medical research dedicated to spinal cord injuries before his death of heart failure in 2004.
Reeve tried his hand at acting in a small handful of projects as a kid, but Superman will mark his first return to the industry since 2006.
