Cirque du Soleil brings its most breathtaking show back to Toronto after 10 years

7 October 20253 Mins Read

Cirque du Soleil is coming back to Toronto next year, and with it is the return of the visually stunning Luzia production. Here’s what to know.

Luzia first debuted in Toronto back in 2016; now, 10 years later, it welcomes guests once again to escape to an imaginary Mexico.

What to expect

Described as a surreal world suspended between dreams and reality, this experience includes stunning acrobatic performances from contortion to vertical pole jumping, and performers will be turning soccer into a high-energy act that mixes freestyle street dance with ball manipulation.

And, as a first for a Cirque du Soleil touring production, Luzia integrates water inside the Big Top. There are over 94,000 hidden holes on the stage floor that drain into a basin underneath the stage.

“The water reserve is constantly recycled and filtered during the entire run of show in each city, and maintained at a comfortable 39°C for the well-being of artists,” shares organizers.

“Luzia uses approximately 10,000 litres of water in total for its artistic and acrobatic scenes, such as Cyr Wheel artists rolling and spinning under pouring rain, and a mesmerizing Aerial Straps act that sees an artist diving in and out of an ancient cenote (natural sinkhole) while a life-sized puppet jaguar curiously looks on.”

It’s all going down from June 18 to Aug. 3, 2026, as the iconic Big Top returns to the city. Advance tickets are now available to Club Cirque members, and if you aren’t yet part of the club, you can sign up for free online.

Tickets for the public go on sale Oct. 14 at 10 a.m. ET. Right after the Toronto run, Luzia will continue its Canadian tour to Vancouver, B.C., from Nov. 4 to Dec. 15, 2026.

Luzia – Cirque du Soleil

When: June 18 to Aug. 3, 2026
Where: 2150 Lake Shore Blvd. W.
