Connecting, Innovating, and Elevating the Hospitality Industry

25 August 20254 Mins Read

EventCamp 2025, presented by Tripleseat, was more than just any conference; it was a premier gathering of nearly 500 forward-thinking hospitality professionals from the U.S. and beyond, a vibrant community dedicated to elevating the events industry. With over 50 sessions and featuring more than 40 speakers, the two-day event at the beautiful Encore Boston Harbor provided a unique and customized learning journey for every attendee. The atmosphere was one of collaboration and inspiration, a testament to the shared passion for creating unforgettable experiences. Drawing inspiration from the wisdom of keynote speaker Tom Colicchio — “Recipes tell you nothing. Learning techniques is the key. EventCamp provided the framework for success, empowering attendees to hone their skills and apply new techniques to drive growth. For those who couldn’t make it, here’s a look at some of the key takeaways and highlights from the conference’s core themes: Connect, Innovate, and Elevate.

Connect

EventCamp 2025 was built on the foundation of community. It was a space where event professionals could connect with peers who understand the challenges and triumphs of the hospitality industry. Attendees embraced both the formal and informal moments of the event—sharing stories, discovering new strategies, and forming lasting connections that will continue well beyond the conference.

Sessions like “Networking 101: Building Meaningful Connections” provided practical advice on how to navigate networking events with confidence, turning casual conversations into valuable professional relationships. The collaborative energy was also felt in sessions like “Yes, Chef! Communicate More Effectively with Culinary and BOH Team Members,” which fostered an exciting discussion on strengthening communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. The conversations and connections truly came to life, creating a vibrant community of people shaping the future of events.

Innovate

Innovation was at the forefront of every conversation at EventCamp. Attendees were given a special look into the future of Tripleseat with a warm introduction to Tripleseat’s new CEO, Michelle Fischer, who shared her vision for the company’s continued growth and innovation.

Attendees heard from industry pioneers who are transforming big ideas into real impact. The conference’s breakout sessions and engaging keynotes, including a forward-looking discussion on AI’s impact on hospitality led by Tripleseat’s Chief Product & Technology Officer, Pat Jenakanandhini, provided new perspectives on industry-leading topics.

The conference’s success was also made possible by the generous support of our sponsors, including GoTab, PeopleVine, AddSalt, Mews, Benbria, SlangAI, and Level99, who are at the forefront of innovating within the hospitality industry.

Participants gained valuable insights into leveraging technology to streamline operations and enhance the guest experience. From learning about Tripleseat’s newest features—such as automations, sales forecasting, and mobile app notifications—to understanding how to customize the platform for unique business needs, attendees walked away feeling energized and ready to innovate. A standout session, “TripleseatDirect: How FB Society Automated Bookings to Drive Revenue and Efficiency,” showcased a real-world example of how to automate the booking process to create a seamless client experience and boost revenue.

Elevate

EventCamp 2025 was all about stepping into immersive experiences and unlocking new possibilities. The conference was designed to help attendees elevate their careers, their teams, and their venues. Sessions focused on hands-on experiences, from a gifting demo with Cassie LaMere Events to a detailed look at how to use Floorplans by Tripleseat to create stunning, accurate event layouts.

The “Elevate” theme was at the core of sessions dedicated to professional growth, such as “From Event Manager to Industry Leader: Career Growth Strategies,” where a panel of experts shared tips on leadership development and building a personal brand. Attendees also discovered fresh approaches to optimizing revenue, with sessions on “Maximizing Revenue Through Upselling, Cross-Selling, and Rebooking Strategies” and “Smart Sales Strategies: Transitioning from Order Taker to Sales Leader.” These sessions provided the practical plans and techniques needed to drive profitability and success, empowering attendees to immediately implement what they learned.

See You at EventCamp

As we close the chapter on EventCamp 2025, we are inspired by the incredible exchange of knowledge and the relationships forged. The conversations and connections don’t have to end here; attendees are invited to join the online Hospitality Event Community (HEC) to continue sharing ideas.

Just as Tom Colicchio’s quote reminds us, the real work begins now—practicing the techniques and applying the lessons learned. We hope you feel empowered to do just that and look forward to seeing you at the next EventCamp!
