Continuing the Mission: Talking with Tripleseat’s New CEO Michelle Fischer

Michelle Fischer recently stepped into the role of CEO at Tripleseat. With a deep background in both the events and technology spaces, she brings experience, energy, and a clear focus on helping customers thrive. We sat down with Michelle to learn more about why she joined Tripleseat, how she’s approaching the role, and what customers can expect in this next chapter.

Q: Michelle, welcome to Tripleseat! Your first official day was at EventCamp. How did that go?

A: It was amazing. I couldn’t have asked for a better first day than being at EventCamp, surrounded by our most passionate and engaged users. It gave me the chance to start learning from customers right away, which is exactly how I wanted to begin. This is a company built around customer success, and hearing firsthand what’s working and where we can do more was incredibly energizing.

Q: What made you want to join Tripleseat?

A: A few things, really. First, I’m not new to this industry. I’ve spent time in product engineering at Aloha and later led marketing at a company that was acquired by Cvent, where I also helped run events. So I know this space, and I love it.

But what really drew me to Tripleseat is the combination of a product that works, a team that genuinely cares, and customers who are enthusiastic advocates. That’s rare, and it’s exactly the kind of foundation I look for when deciding where to lead next.

Q: What excites you about this industry?

A: This industry is fast-paced, creative, and deeply human. You can’t help but be inspired by the energy of event professionals. They’re resourceful, passionate, and driven to create experiences that matter. That’s a space I want to be part of.

If I were in your shoes, I’d probably be asking, “Does the new CEO get it?” I do. I understand the challenges and the opportunities here, and I’m genuinely excited to support this community.

Q: How do you see your role as CEO?

A: My job is to make sure our customers are winning. When customers grow and operate more efficiently, the entire industry gets stronger, and Tripleseat grows with it.

That means investing in new features, driving broader adoption, expanding into new segments and geographies, and continuing to strengthen how we operate behind the scenes. It also means staying focused on our core promise: helping customers run their events and businesses better.

Q: What’s your leadership philosophy?

A: It’s simple: it all comes down to people. Thriving employees lead to thriving customers. So I’m focused on making sure both our team and our customers have what they need to succeed.

And before anything else, my job is to listen. Tripleseat already has strong fundamentals, an excellent product, a talented team, and a vibrant community. I’m here to build on that by learning from the people who know it best: our customers and our employees.

Q: What can customers expect in the months ahead?

A: First and foremost, a commitment to listening and learning. I’ll be spending time with our customers and team members to understand what’s working and where we can improve.

You can also expect a continued focus on innovation, customer experience, and operational excellence. Our mission remains the same: to help you book more events, streamline your operations, and grow your business. I’m here to make sure we deliver on that promise every day.

We’re excited to have Michelle at the helm as Tripleseat enters its next phase of growth. To stay up-to-date with her journey and get the latest news from Tripleseat, follow Michelle Fischer and Tripleseat on LinkedIn. You won’t want to miss what’s coming next.
