Many food items have come and gone from the Costco food court over the years, from chicken wings to churros. However, the big-box store has just teased the return of a Canadian classic.
Taking to its social media accounts, Costco revealed that it would be bringing back the Montreal smoked meat sandwich to its food courts across Canada.
For those who remember, Costco used to have a smoked meat sandwich available at the food court years ago. However, it was one of the items that disappeared without a trace.
After posting the announcement, plenty of Canadians were thrilled to see the return of the dish.
“SMOKED MEAT BABYYYYYYY. IVE MISSED YOU,” one person commented.
However, many Canadians were disappointed that Costco isn’t bringing back other fan favourites from the past, and many are calling for the return of the turkey provolone sandwich, too.
“We want turkey provolone. Costco give the people what they want,” one customer said.
Many were also calling for Costco to bring back its chicken wings at its food court once again.
As well as Canadian favourites of the past, some were disappointed to see that Costco wasn’t introducing the Chicken Bake in Canada, a popular food court item in the U.S.
The bake is packed with chicken, bacon, cheese and Caesar dressing, all wrapped up in a pastry crust.
“How we don’t have the chicken bake yet is beyond me,” one person commented.
Here’s hoping Costco is listening!
